Enrico Arbarello is an Italian mathematician, considered one of the best experts of the algebraic varieties.
He got a degree in Rome in 1969, then a Ph.D. at the Columbia University of New York in 1973. He was a fellow of Emma Castelnuovo, Guido Castelnuovo’s daughter. He is now a Maths Professor at the University “La Sapienza” in Rome.
